Our yearly parish fundraiser honoring St. Nicholas, one of our patron saints​

Come to the St. Nicholas Church campus at 806 Ridge Ave., Evanston, for the very best Christmas trees and greenery available! Enjoy delicious Mexican food and shop for beautiful hand crafted holiday gifts from over 60 crafters! The fun begins on Friday night, when “Bishop Nicholas” arrives with storytelling and song and tree lighting of our St. Nicholas Fest Christmas tree. On Saturday and Sunday, come back to shop for your own beautiful tree and greenery and visit our many crafters, buy a raffle ticket, and sample delicious homemade baked goods.

Visit from "Bishop Nicholas" & Tree Lighting

Friday, December 5:​  6:30 p.m.
Join us Friday evening inside St. Nicholas Church when “Bishop Nicholas” arrives as we celebrate the feast day of one of our patron saints. After stories, songs, and prayers, he leads us outside to light the big Christmas tree on Ridge Avenue. An evening beloved by all, big and small! 

Tree & Greenery Sale

Saturday, December 6:  8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday, December 7:  9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Our premium trees and greenery are among the finest in North America. Each tree comes with a guarantee of complete customer satisfaction. 
Missed the pre-order window for Christmas trees or greenery? We'll accept walk-up orders at the Fest for as long as supplies last!

Craft Fair

Saturday, December 6:  8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday, December 7:  9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
St. Nick’s Fest Craft Fair features over 60 crafters with an array of unique handcrafted items for your holiday shopping: jewelry, pottery, knitwear, wood-turned items, soaps, notecards, ornaments and much more! Be sure to visit all the booths in both locations: Oldershaw Hall and the school cafeteria.

This is your chance to win big!
Volunteers will be selling tickets after Mass each weekend leading up to the event, or you can purchase tickets while you're exploring the Fest! The drawing will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria on Sunday, December 8.

Delicious homemade Mexican food in Oldershaw Hall and other good eats in the school cafeteria kitchen.
Everything is soul-satisfying and prepared with love. 

Bakery Booth

Saturday, December 6:  8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday, December 7:  9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Stop by our famous bakery book in the school cafeteria for beautiful holiday treats, all prepared by parishioners of St. John XXIII. You’ll find delicious cookies, cakes, pies and breads for your holiday parties or gifts for friends or family. 

Calling All Bakers! 
   
Get out your favorite holiday recipes and help us offer the best homemade baked goods at this year’s St. Nick’s Fest. Good sellers are holiday cookies, sweet breads, pies, jams, and candies. Gluten-free items are especially welcome.  Items may be dropped off in the school cafeteria on Friday, December 5, from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, December 6, from 7:30 - 1  p.m. Be sure to label your items including ingredients, especially dairy and nuts.
