Inspired by diverse faiths and shared values, Interfaith Action of Evanston (IAE) brings people together to serve hungry and homeless people, pursue interfaith dialogue, and engage in advocacy that promotes social justice for those we serve.
IAE provides regular opportunities to engage our community throughout the year, including weekly soup kitchen meal distribution (click here get involved with SJ23), an emergency overnight shelter, a weekday hospitality center at St. Mark's Church. The hospitality center at St. Mark's Church provides guests (ages 18+) with breakfast and a safe place to sleep. Job counselors provide advice, encouragement, and workshops for guests seeking employment. Computer trainers assist with online applications and resumes. The Interfaith Action of Evanston (IAE) also keeps an updated list of food pantries in the area. View list of food pantries.
