Anointing of the Sick

Picture
The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is a ritual of healing appropriate not only for those in immediate danger of death but also for those suffering from physical, mental, or spiritual sickness. Through this sacrament, the individual receives from the Holy Spirit the graces of strengthening, peace, and courage as they face the difficulties that go with the condition of serious illness or the frailty of old age.

If you know of someone in need of support or the Sacrament of Anointing please contact Deacon Chris Murphy, Pastoral Associate, at 847.864.1185 x242 or cmurphy@archchicago.org.
