The quilting ministry began at St. Mary in 2005 and has made more than 600 quilts for nonprofits such as Infant Welfare of Evanston, North Shore Palliative Care Center, L’Arche Chicago, and Rainbow Hospice. It’s open to people of all faiths and at every skill level, including those with no experience.
Quilters meet every Thursday (except for holidays) from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Gathering Space at St. Mary's Campus. Come by to see photobooks of past quilts made, make new friends, and add your efforts to a worthwhile cause. Questions? Please contact Linda Balla at [email protected] for more information. |
