Peace & Justice Committee

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free."  - Luke 4:18
Our Mission Statement
Grounded in Catholic Social Teaching, the Peace & Justice Committee serves to help parishioners link their faith to their lives as workers, consumers, and global citizens by:
  • Learning about social policies and systems that are unjust
  • Reflecting on what our faith teaches and what our values are
  • Taking action to bring about justice

What We Do
We focus on worker rights, immigrant & refugee rights, gun violence prevention, nuclear proliferation, and racial justice.

In partnership with the larger church and neighboring community organizations, our work includes:
  • Facilitating  educational programs
  • Participating in public witness events
  • Arranging speakers, films, fair trade sales
  • Organizing legislative advocacy
  • Welcoming refugee families to the U.S.

Join Us
We typically meet on the first Sunday of the month. To join us or learn more please complete the form below. All are welcome!
