November 1-2, 2024: Liturgies for All Saints and All Souls Days

11/1/2024

It’s the time of year when we remember those who have come before us. Celebrate All Saints and All Souls Days at St. John XXIII Parish!

NOTE: The 7 p.m. All Saints Day Mass at St. Nicholas will be celebrated in ENGLISH. The 7 p.m. All Saints Day Mass at St. Mary will be celebrated in SPANISH. This represents a CHANGE from the schedule that was published in last weekend's bulletin. The following schedule is the most up-to-date (and will be sent out in an email tomorrow, as well). We sincerely apologize for any confusion.

All Saints Day (Holy Day of Obligation)
Friday, November 1
  • 8 a.m. - St. Mary Church
  • 8:15 a.m. - St. Nicholas Church (with Pope John XXIII School)
  • 7 p.m. - St. Nicholas Church (English)
  • 7 p.m. - St. Mary Church (Spanish)

All Souls Day
Saturday, November 2
  • 5 p.m. - Mass of Remembrance, St. Nicholas Church (Bilingual)
    • We will celebrate the Mass of Remembrance within the regularly scheduled 5 p.m. Vigil Mass for the 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time. Our recently deceased will be remembered aloud, we will hear from St. Paul as he proclaims Christ's power over death in his letter to the Romans, and we will worship our Lord with music that befits both All Souls Day and the 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time.
